The Daytona Racers are proud to announce the hiring of their 2016-17 USP3HL Coaching Staff:
Ed Fritz is coming to the Racers from Salem State University. He was a graduate assistant coach of both the Men’s and Women’s NCAA programs. He was also the Goalie coach for both programs as well. Ed is very skilled at video analysis and evaluations. Ed will be the Daytona Racers youth organization Goalie coach, and will be running Goalie specific clinics and camps all year long. He is an extremely hard worker and will bring a NCAA professionalism with him as he leads the Racers to success in the future.
Charlie Watson comes to the Racers from the WSHL San Diego Sabers. He was the Sabers Head coach last year. We found out Charlie wanted to be in Florida and jumped on the opportunity to have a coach of his ability as part of our program. Charlie brings over 25 years of high level coaching experience. He will also be the head coach of the u16AA Daytona Racers EJEPL team this year. Please join me in welcoming Ed and Charlie to our hockey family.
Head Coach Ed Fritz will be assisted by coach Charlie Watson and returning assistant coach, Eric Paul – a staff that combined have over 50 years of professional, NCAA, Junior and youth hockey experience.
“We are excited to have Ed and Charlie to lead our team this season. They bring a combination of passion, experience, and knowledge that will help our players develop to their highest potential. They are both going to be very involved in the beach communities so keep your eyes out for them.” Said Kravetz

Our goal is to have a great majority of our team from the Daytona/Orlando/ Jacksonville area in order to provide future opportunities for our local hockey community. However, our program success and training concepts attract interest from players all over the U.S. as well as Canada and Europe.
PLAYERS OUTSIDE THE LOCAL AREA NEED HOUSING WITHIN PROXIMITY TO OUR HOME RINK AT THE DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SKATEWAY.
In order to for these players to take advantage of the opportunity to play with us, they need families willing to share their homes, and make it a ‘home-away-from-home’ for them.
